Is Quakerism for you?

We are a non-creedal, Christian sect.  We don’t tell you what you must believe, but that doesn’t mean that anything goes — a living faith requires discipline. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, you are welcome to sojourn with us.  We encourage you to explore the writings found under About Quakers (Seriously).   This isn’t an exhaustive list of Quaker writings, but you’ll find a lot to consider. Check back periodically for new additions.

When you come, plan to come more than once.  Since we are an unprogrammed meeting (we don’t have paid clergy or a planned order of service), no two meetings are quite the same.  You are invited and strongly encouraged to come for meeting for worship for business.  Stay for a bit after the rise of meeting for worship and have coffee or tea.  Join us for potluck.  We’d like to hear where your faith journey has taken you so far. Tacoma Friends Meeting is a welcoming and affirming congregation.
