Support: Faith in Action
Quakers put our faith into action in a variety of ways, including active participation and financial support. Tacoma Friends Meeting, for example, is more than just a community of practice. It is a community of practice, purpose, and place that supports a building and maintains nearly an acre of grounds. If you wish to make a financial contribution to Tacoma Friends, you can drop a gift in the gifts box at the meeting house, speak with Meeting Treasurer Angie Alexander (alexander.angelia0618@gmail.com) about arranging an ongoing contribution, or make a gift here.
We are collecting donations until the end of the year to help defray the cost of a new roof recently installed on the yurt. If you’d like your contribution – in whole or part – to go toward that expense, please mention it in the comment section. Thank you.
We also act on our faith by financially supporting organizations that amplify our spirituality with action. Here are some of the organizations that Tacoma Friends supports:
- American Friends Service Committee (AFSC)
 - Friends World Committee for Consultation (FWCC)
 - Friends Committee on National Legislation (FCNL)
 - Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW)
 - Quaker Voice on Washington Public Policy (Washington State)
 - Associated Ministries of Tacoma Pierce County
 - Advocates for Immigrants in Detention Northwest (AIDNW)
 - Nourish Pierce County
 - Fellowship of Reconciliation
